Last year, during the commencement of Indian 2 shooting, the official word was made by Lyca Productions that the film will be releasing for April 2021. Now it looks like the release date is preponed for the makers are getting it done for Pongal 2021. One of the major reasons is that Lyca Productions’ other movie ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ directed by Mani Ratnam has been scheduled for Tamil New Year 2021 release.
The shooting of Indian 2 is briskly proceeding and it would be complete by November 2020 followed by a long phase of post-production work. Director Shankar will be immediately kick-starting a new project after Indian 2.
