Kamal attacks DMK, DMDK

Apparently taking a dig at Vijayakanth and his DMDK, Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamla Haasan today said that neither his daughter nor a brother-in-law would take over the party after his time. Speaking at the Women's Day celebrations at his party office in Alwarpet, Kamal Haasan, said, 'We are here to serve people'.

It was an obvious attack at the DMK and the DMDK. The DMK is being led by M K Stalin, the son of late party president M Karunanidhi. The prominent face of DMDK now is L K Sudish, its deputy general secretary and brother-in-law of party leader Vijayakanth. The party has started issuing applications for the upcoming general elections and has invited even the general public to apply as it has decided to go it alone.
