'JNU VC must resign'

After violence was unleashed on the JNU campus by a group of masked men and women allegedly belonging to ABVP, JNUSU has hit out at the university Vice Chancellor and blamed him for allowing the attack on students and teachers on the campus.In a statement issued by JNUSU, whose president Aishe Ghosh is among those injured and were seen bleeding on Sunday, has called V-C M Jagadesh Kumar a "mobster who perpetuates violence in the university".The students' union has also called for his resignation.On Sunday evening, the JNU V-C issued a statement and said he was in great pain over the attack on students but also squarely blamed a group of students for blocking the winter semester registration process a few days ago.
