The ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu on Thursday took out a silent procession and paid floral tributes at the memorial of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on the occasion of her third death anniversary.
Clad in black shirts, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edpapadi K Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who were also the Joint Coordinator and Coordinator of the AIADMK respectively, accompanied by Ministers, MPs, MLAs and tens and hudreds of party functionaries took part in the silent procession which commenced near Anna statue and culminated at Jayalalithaa's memorial on the Marina beach front, which was decorated with flowers, along with the Party's 'Two Leaves' symbol.
After offering floral tributes at her memorial, the AIADMK members vowed to strive hard to work on the path laid down by the late leader, who helped in party's growth through her sacrifice and skills.Palaniswami and Mr Panneerserlvam administered the pledge to the AIADMK leaders, functionaries and party cadres. Later, the AIADMK members observed two minutes' silence to mark the occasion.
