Following the grand success of Petta, Karthik Subbaraj collaborated with Dhanush for a film that is shot at a bigger budget. Extensively shot across London and Madurai, the film’s title was reported being ‘Suruli’, which was denied by the makers. Nonetheless, actress Vadivukarasi, who is playing an important role in this movie admitted in one of her recent interviews that ‘Suruli’ is the title. The film is a gangster drama set against London, where a roughneck from Madurai is being chased by parents to UK for a better livelihood and things turn out to be more awry out there for him.
Currently, the shooting of this film has been completed and the official announcement on worldwide release will be made shortly.
