India mourning Valentines Day as Black day: Remembering Pulwama terror attack

When the whole world celebrates the Valentines Day, India mourning Feb 14 as Black day. This was the day where around 40 CRPF personnels were killed in Pulwama terror attack.

It was around 3.00pm on this day, last year a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist rammed a vehicle carrying explosives into the Central Reserve Police Force (CPRF) convoy on Srinagar-Jammu national highway.
 
Nearly 40 CRPF personnels were killed when their covoy was targeted by the  suicide bomber of JeM terror group.

Tensions erupted between India and Pakistan following an attack on a convoy of 78 buses, in which some 2,500 CRPF personnel traveled from Jammu to Srinagar. National demonstrations erupted against the brutal terror attack, even as the country was bidding farewell to its brave hearts.The attack was condemned by leaders across party lines and civil society and called for a proper response.

Around 12 days after the terrorist attack, in the early hours of February 26, Indian Air Force jets bombed the JeM headquarters in Balakot, Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
