In TN, exit polls DMK will maximum seats

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, AIADMK had bagged 37 seats with a vote share of 44.9%, defying all pre-poll predictions. This time round, exit polls predict the DMK to make strong comeback sweeping up to 38 seats. The fortunes of the party seem to have reversed under MK Stalin, who took over after his father, Karunanidhi's death. DMK, in fact, had also got a boost in its vote share in the state Assembly election post 2014.

A Times Now-VMR exit poll has predicted that the AIADMK and BJP alliance will be reduced to just 9 seats, down from the 37 seats that the AIADMK got in the last elections in 2014. The poll has forecast that the DMK and Congress' alliance is projected to win 29 seats, a massive boost for MK Stalin who is also eyeing to win the 22 assembly seats that went for bypolls along with the Lok Sabha polls.
