Hanumath Jayanthi was celebrated at various temples across Chennai today. The presiding deities of Lord Anjaneya were decked up and special poojas were performed. Devotees gathered in large numbers to seek the blessings of the Almighty. At Nanganallur Anjaneya temple, huge crowd gathered in large numbers since early morning to seek his blessings. Music concerts are organised in a gala manner. Special homams are also being conducted.
At Anjaneya Bhaktha Sabha at Ashok Nagar, the 15-foot tall Hanuman Idol was decorated with garland made of laddu. It was followed by Ekadhina Laksharchanai.
At Panchavadi Anjaneya temple near Pudhucherry, grand celebrations were made for the day. At famous Namkkal Anjaneya temple, a lakh and 8 vada malai was adorned to Almighty.
