Hanumath Jayanthi fete across TN temples

Hanumath Jayanthi is celebrated across Tamilnadu today in a grand manner. Special prayers and poojas are arranged at many temples. Special abhishekams are performed and the presiding deity of Anjaneya is adorned with vadamaalai. Devotees flocked temples since morning in to offer prayers. Various devotional hymns and Hanuman Chalisa were recited. Lord Hanuman is a symbol of strength and energy.

In Chennai, various temples including 32 feet Anjaneya temple in NanganallurAshok Nagar Anjaneyar temples, Sri Anjaneyar Devasthanam temple in Luz among other temples were decked up and special poojas were conducted. Annadhanams were put and police organised serpentine queues in these temples. In the evening, the presiding deities of Lord Hanuman in these temples would be taken out on procession. Elsewhere at SussendhiramNamakkalTindivanam, the Hanumath Jayanthi was celebrated in a gala manner. Milk abhishekams were also conducted.
