Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has banned 99 candidates disqualified for involving in malpractice at group 4 exam. Two of the Tashildar from those region have been arrested.
The TNPSC said these 99 candidates from across the state had written the exam at Rameswaram and Keelaarai at Ramanathapuram district.
"A preliminary inquiry found that answer sheets of 52 candidates ut of 99, were manipulated by scamsters who shaded correct responses after the exam. Thirty nine of them came within the top 100 ranks in the Group IV exam," the TNPSC said.
The commission has replaced the 39 disqualified candidates on the merit list with new candidates.
More than 13 lakh candidates appeared for the Group IV exam the Group IV exam conducted by the TNPSC on September 1, 2019. The results were announced on November 12 last year.
