On this day, we offer our prayers and thank giving for the blessings of Nature and the bounteous harvest that the beginning of the month of ‘Thai’ provides us with'.'The festival Pongal encompasses within itself the concepts of festivity, equality and fraternity. May the onset of Pongal bring greater happiness and prosperity in all our families', he added.
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, extending Pongal greetings to the people, said the Tamils across the world celebrate the festival with gaiety. To facilitate the people to celebrate the festival with enthusiasm. He listed out various schemes initiated by the State government for the welfare of farmers across the State.
