Governor, CM greet women on their day

Today is Women's Day and Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and other leaders have greeted women. In his message, the Governor said, "I extend my best wishes and greetings on the occasion of International Women’s Day being observed on 8 th March every year. An ideal society is one where men and women play an equal and significant
role.

At the core of the structure of Indian society lies the family. The family has its foundations in the mother. She is a protector, a friend, a guide and a role model all in one. We salute and respect our nation as Bharat Mata and Mother India. Vande Mataram was the inspiring war cry which brought freedom to India. Our culture teaches us to believe in the concept of Nari Shakthi or Women Power.

On this occasion of International Women’s Day 2019 let us resolve to work towards to elevating our society to the pedestal of an ideal one." Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami said the government in the path of late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is committed to protect the interests of women. He said he would like to convey his heartfelt wishes to women in the state.
