The second Global Investors' Meet (GIM) organised by the Tamil Nadu government started in Chennai today. This provides an opportunity to get investment by various companies from across the globe for the State. Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami recently unveiled the new Tamil Nadu Startup and innovaTN policy 2018-2023 that would provide an enabling, innovative ecosystem in the State, besides facilitating creation of at least 5,000 Startups, including 10 global high growth Startups.
Meanwhile, Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII), Chennai willorganize a three days training programme on 'Export Import Procedures & Documentation' from 04.02.2019 to 06.02.2019 at EDII, Parthasarathy Koil Street, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Ekkaduthangal, Chennai – 600 032. In India, opportunity for Export & Import is very exciting and the size of the business is increasing rapidly. To be successful in this sector one has to be thorough with all procedures related to Export & Import, said an official release.
Participants will be taught on Basics of International Trade, International Marketing methods, Licensing procedures, Identifying potential products for exports, Product classification and its Harmonized System codes, Sources of information about importers and markets, Processing and negotiating an Export Order. Besides, inputs such as India's Foreign Trade Policy, Export Incentives, Export Finance, Insurance & Risk Management, Export-Import Procedures & Documentation will also be covered during the training programme.
