Full Story - Frustrated Bigil Producer, Vijay's 'Sorry' for Atlee

Director Atlee is considered as one of the most prominent filmmakers of Southern Industry. Within a short span of time, he has managed to clasp the best position in Tamil industry. On the flip side, there has always been a slight resentment from producers about his unethical means of getting his project on over-the-line budget. It happened with Thenandal Films too with ‘Mersal’ and now reports claim the same to be with AGS Entertainment.

Soon after getting call sheet from Vijay, the production house actually preferred another director to helm this project. However, Vijay had sent his strong recommendation of getting Atlee onboard for this project. In fact, all the big names involved in the project were mostly recommended by him. While the film has indeed created a huge attraction for the presence of Nayanthara, AR Rahman and many more big brands, there happens to be a disappointment from the producers.

If what we hear from the close sources is believed to be true, Atlee was supposed to complete the entire shooting by August 10. However, by end of July, he put forward an insisting note to producers that he requires one more month to complete the shooting, which includes 22 days of breathtaking action sequence. He had also planned to shoot the climax in Delhi (Probably the same location, where 2.0 climax was filmed). But the infuriated producers posed a halt to his ideas.

They instantly called up Vijay and mentioned that it’s only because of him, they had Atlee onboard and now with the budget raising up above the planned graph is not looking good. Vijay took it seri0usly apologizing the producers and insisted Atlee to complete the shoot in next 10 days. This is the reason why Vijay didn’t even have break on Sunday and continuously shot for the film wrapping up his portions by yesterday.
