Acclaimed as one of the most promising filmmakers across the decades in Indian film industry, Mani Ratnam is now high on headlines for his epical adaption ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. Featuring an ensemble star-cast from Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Trisha and many more prominent actors, the second leg of shooting is going on full swing in Pondicherry.
While the film’s shooting will be wrapped up by mid of this year, the makers are planning to release the movie by summer 2021. While the film is being made in two parts, it is now said that Mani Ratnam might take a break between the first and second part to make a small quickie in between. If what we hear from the sources is believed to be true, this film will feature STR in lead role. Well, it’s too early to speak about it and let us wait and watch out for it.
