Shankar was one of the directors who brought Tamil cinema to a global level.
He is currently working Indian 2 film with Ulaga Naayagan Kamal Haasan. Filming of Indian 2 is due to end in November this year. Following this, it was reported that he would start work on his next project.
According to Kollywood sources, Shankar will direct Vikram soon after the completion of the Indian 2.
If this is indeed the case, this will be the third film for Vikram and Shankar. Prior to that, the two had worked on films including Anniyan and I.
