Chief Minister and AIADMK joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami and DMK president M K Stalin today continued their active campaigning for the candidates of their own parties and their alliance partners. Seeking votes for A C Shanmugam in Vellore, the CM said the present 100 day employment scheme will be converted as 200 days scheme if the AIADMK-BJP alliance is voted to power.
Stating that industrial and agricultural growth has increased in Tamil Nadu, he said only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can provide stable and strong government in the Centre. Stalin, who spoke at Arur near Dharmapuri, said that in the name of mega alliance, the AIADMK has formed a worst alliance. "It has done this to avoid going to jail," added Stalin. On Friday, Palaniswami sought votes in Karumandhurai for DMDK's L K Sudhish who is contesting from Kallakurichi Lok Sabha constituency.
EPS said only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country will be safe. "Only if the country is safe, people can live peacefully. Modi should be elected again to ensure that another incident like Pulwama in whcih 40 army men were killed does not take place," he added. He further said AIADMK forged an alliance with BJP for the wellness of the country and the people. "This is not just a normal election, but a battle between dharmam and adharmam," he said.
