EPS offers prayers in Tirupati

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today offered prayers at the world renowned Lord Sri Venkateswara temple on Tirumala in Tirupati. He was accorded respects by the temple authorities and along with his family members, the CM offered prayers at the holy shrine, which is visited by millions.

This is the first visit of EPS to Tirupati after the results of Lok Sabha elections and by-polls to 22 Assembly seats. In the by-poll, which was crucial for the continuation of his government, the AIADMK won nine seats thus removing the danger that his government faced. Despite the main opposition DMK winning nine constituencies, it was unable to unseat the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam government.
