It is said that Easter is Jesus Christ's victory over death. His resurrection symbolizes the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami extended his Easter greetings to Christian community.
'To all the people who celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ who is the symbol of sacrifice, I extend my Easter greetings,' he said in an official statement today. Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead which occurred three days after his crucifixion. Palaniswami said, 'On this holy day, I pray for peace to prevail, happiness to brim and brotherhood thrive all over the world.'
