Double century by Labuschagne

Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne on Saturday scored his maiden Test double-ton during the third and final Test against New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Labuschagne, who was the leading run-getter in Test cricket last year with 1,104 runs, played a brilliant knock of 215 before he was dismissed by Todd Astle on Day Two. His innings helped Australia post 454 in their first innings of the ongoing Test.

By finishing with 215 off 363 balls, Labuschagne now has a greater Test average than his teammate Steve Smith (62.84). His Test average is 63.63, although he's playing just his 14th Test, while Smith is in his 73rd.
