A day after the DMK and its alliance partners posted a huge victory in the Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu and in 13 Assembly constituencies, winning candidates called on party president M K Stalin. The winners met Stalin at the DMK head quarters Anna Arivalayam in Chennai and sought his wishes. Stalin congratulated them and wished them all the best.
Kanimozhi, who won from Thoothukudi constituency, visited the memorial of her father and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at Marina and paid tearful tributes. She was accompanied by her husband Aravindan, mother Rajathi Ammal and other senior leaders of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
