DMK to stage demo in front of Raj Bhavan on Kodanadu row

The Opposition DMK would stage a protest demonstration in front of the Raj Bhavan on January 24 demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and a Special Investigation Team  (SIT) probe into the Kodanad incidents. It may be recalled that a former Tehelka Journalist had released a video clipping in New Delhi recently alleging murder and break-ins at Kodanad estate of former Chief Minister J Jayalailthaa linking the involvement of Mr Palaniswami.

In a statement here on Tuesday, DMK President and Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly M K Stalin said the protest demonstration was also to urge Governor Banwarilal Purohit to take Constitutional measures against Mr Palaniswami and order a SIT probe headed by an Inspector General of Police into the Kodanad incidents.

He said the demonstration, to be held at 10 am on Thursday, would be led by DMK Chennai West District Secretary J Anbazhagan. He also appealed to Party functionaries and members of various wings of the party to participate in the agitation and made it a success. Public Relief Fund.
