'Billa' Jegan, the youth wing organizer of DMK Tuticorin south district, who allegedly shot dead his brother over a property dispute, has been suspended from the party. In a statement, DMK general secretary K Anbazhagan said the action was initiated after Jegan violated the party rules and regulations.
He was arrested by the Tuticorin North Police in Kerala for killing his brother over property dispute. Jegan is a supporter of Tiruchendur MLA Anitha R Radhakrishnan. Jegan has confessed to the crime and said that the victim fell to the ground and was unconscious and later died due to excessive bleeding. Police also arrested Jegan's friends Dinivapuram, Ranganatha Kannan, car driver Maniyanthan and acquaintance Bandaram.
