Director Samuthirakani’s heart-warming gesture of Government School

On 19th February, Wednesday, ace Kollywood filmmaker, director and actor, Samuthirakani, hugely popular for his social-activist approach, trying to bring it out in his movies as well, launched an initiative to help students from government schools develop proper life skills to excel in life.  He launched it along with a few others noted personalities from different fields.

This initiative, titled Kanaa (meaning ‘dream’ in Tamil!),  is by Indium Software, a global technology services company.

While addressing the gathering at this socially-relevant event, Samuthirakani said, "It brings me great joy that Indium is working towards securing the future of our country by enabling children to achieve their dreams and aspirations. I strongly believe that workshops like Kanaa will be instrumental in creating a positive impact in the lives of these children.”

Meanwhile, back on the movie front, there's still a buzz in the industry that Samuthirakani will direct Thalapathy Vijay in his next. Earlier in an interview, Samuthirakani mentioned that he had already narrated a script to Vijay and the actor had asked him to wait for the right time to launch the project.

Reports also mention that other filmmakers, including Magizh Thirumeni, Vetrimaaran, Perarasu, Mohan Raja, and Arun Raja Kamaraj have also narrated their scripts to Vijay and are awaiting a confirmation call from the actor.
