The Thailapuram garden of Pattali Makkal Katchi founder S Ramadoss wore a festive look on Friday night, as he hosted a grand feast to his new partners- Chief Minister and AIADMK joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy CM and AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam. After the alliance was finalised between the PMK and the AIADMK recently, as per which the former got seven Lok Sabha seats and one Rajya Sabha seat, the Chief Minister hosted tea to Ramadoss at his house. On that occasion, Ramadoss had invited Chief Minister, Deputy chief minister and ministers to his house.
Palaniswami also addressed AIADMK party cadre who had gathered at Tindivanam and said a mega alliance had been formed under AIADMK. He asked the party members to ensure that all candidates, including those nominated by alliance parties, win the elections like they did when former chief minister J Jayalalithaa was alive. When the Chief Minister and his deputy arrived along with their Cabinet colleagues, they were accorded a warm reception by Ramadoss and his son Anbumani, who is the Dharmapuri Lok Sabha MP. Ramadoss explained the significance of paintings in his house, in a show of bonhomie.
While the PMK has been given seven out of 40 seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party has secured five constituencies in the AIADMK-led alliance.
