Darbar movie was released as a Pongal festival treat, starring Rajinikanth and directed by AR Murugadoss. It released on the 9th January, the film has been running in theaters for over 10 days.
The story of Darbar revolves around a top police officer given task to end drug menace in the financial capital of India, Mumbai. The role of brave cop is played by none other than Thalaiva. The film has a lot of action sequence from its beginning.
Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty, who played a villain in the movie Darbar, has told the private channel, that Darbar has has collected more than Rs 100 crore in Tamil Nadu alone.
Speaking about his role in Darbar, Sunil Shetty had said that he rubbed shoulders with Rajini for the first time in the film. Sharing his work experience, he said that he was initially scared to work with the Superstar.
He also said that Rajinikanth's humble and quiet person, is so fascinating that he sees Rajini as the incarnation of God. "The hand of God was on me, and that hand was Rajinikath's. I was scared, nervous because I didn't know what to do, but it makes you so comfortable that it's unbelievable. He's one guy who's so easy, and that's why I think he's God.
