Craze for Tattoo makes a women go blind

After inspiring from a rap artist named Popek, who had dyed the whites of her eyes to black, Aleksandra Sadowska from the city of Wroclaw in west Poland had gone to the tattooist to do the same.

The poorly handled procedure left the 25-year-old model complaining of eye pain which the tattooist is said to have been common and could be handled with painkillers.

Based in the Polish capital Warsaw, the tattoo artist  Piotr A, faces three years in prison for unintentionally causing sever disablity to the woman.

Aleksandra was told by doctors after losing sight in her right eye that the damage was irreparable and she would soon lose sight in her left eye as well.

It was noticed during the initial investigation that the tattooist had made major mistakes in the procedure, including the use of body ink to tattoo skin, which should not come into contact with the eye.

The woman's lawyers told local media: 'There is clear evidence that the tattoo artist did not know how to perform such a delicate procedure.

'And yet he decided to perform it which led to this tragedy.'
