Covid restrictions in Thiruchendur Murugan temple

As the covid numbers are surging, the temple authorities in Thiruchendur Murugan temple have tightened rules. A press release said that senior citizens and children will not br allowed for darshan. People visiting the temple have to follow safety protocols. Social distancing will be maintained.

Those without masks will not be allowed to enter the temple, the release added. Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple, Tiruchendur is one of the six major abodes, or sacred temples, of the Kaumaram religion. Soorasamharam, a reenactment of the victory over Soorapadman, and Kanda Shasti, a devotional song in praise of Lord Murugan are performed at the temple.
