Blood samples have been collected and sent for testing as two Chinese had coronary symptoms aboard the ship.
In a statement issued by the Chennai Ports Corporation, it has been stated that, there were 19 Chinese aboard in the M.V. Magnate vessel that berthed at the Chennai port and two of them were diagnosed with mild fever in a test carried out by the port medical team.
So, the have been isolated inside the vessel and their blood samples were sent for testing for suspected coronavirus infection.
The announcement said that the ship had been isolated and that the ship had been discontinued a short distance from the sea.
According to Chennai Port, the state health team and the Port Health Officer, Chennai visited the ship on Wednesday and collected the blood samples and sent them for testing to Kings Institute of Preventive Medicine, here.
The blood test results are expected Wednesday evening.
