Chennai Metro to hold medical camps at Alandur and Ashok Nagar stations

Chennai Metro Rail, in association with Rotary club of Alandur and SRM Group of Hospitals, will be conducting General Health Screening and Dental check-up for the benefit of the public and metro passengers on 27-02-2019 and 28-02-2019 from 10 am to 5 pm. A team of doctors from SRM Speciality hospitals, Ramapuram and a team of dentists from SRM Dental College will be conducting the camp.

According to a statement, this Medical camps at Alandur and Ashok Nagar stations are a free consultation and Metro Rail passengers and public are requested kindly avail the opportunity and get benefitted. Recently, in a move that will make travelling on Metro trains even more accessible and comfortable, Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) introduced cab feeder services in five Metro transit hubs and share autos in seven stations from today. With meager fare of Rs 15 and Rs 10 for the cab and auto respectively, Metro rail passengers can now cover over 3 km around the select stations to reach their homes or any other destination.

Recently, Chennai Metro Rail allowed passengers to use its services free of cost for four days, following the inaugural of the AG DMS-Washermenpet stretch. The free services were a major hit among Chennaiites with lakhs of people availing them. A press release from CMRL said, "The trial runs that were conducted in both Green Line and Blue Line Corridors have been completed 13-02-2019 and all systems have been stabilized."
