Chennai hosts first summit on Global Speaking Business

The apex body of speakers in India, Professional Speakers’ Association of India (PSAI), organised Professional Speakers Summit 2019.Themed 'Speak Global' in Chennai. The summit was India’s largest gathering of professional speakers under one roof. This two-day event was dedicated to learning and sharing the knowledge on the best practices in professional speaking: marketing, positioning, branding, productization, speaker bureaus, client management and of course how to speak globally and earn in Dollars and Euros.

“Professional Speaking in major countries is a full time and only profession of some people where they deliver key note speeches for 15 to 20 minutes in conferences and are paid thousands of dollars. This motivated me to start the association in India to help upcoming speakers from India do it in a more organized and professional way. The fundamental objective is to help speakers become better in the ‘business’ of speaking and enable them to travel the world for speaking gigs by developing a global mindset.

‘Speak Global’ is clearly the need of the hour and PSAI Summit 2019 facilitated an exchange of ideas and insights to help professional speakers in their journey towards achieving it,” said Kiruba Shankar, President of Professional Speakers Association of India (PSAI). Some of the speakers included President of Global Speakers Federation - Elias Kanaris, PrakashIyer - best-selling author, motivational speaker and leadership coach, Fredrik Haren - author and speaker on Business Creativity, RadislavGandapas - President of the Commonwealth of Independent States Speakers Association.

Inaugurating the summit, James Taylor, Keynote Speaker on Creativity, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence said, “It was an honour to give the opening keynote speech at the Professional Speakers Association of India’s Summit 2019 on how speakers can grow their businesses using Creativity and Artificial Intelligence. India is a place with so many amazing stories, speakers and storytellers and is a country which is on-track to become one of the biggest global markets for professional speakers”.
