The Northeast monsoon is likely to bring light to moderate rains at isolated places over Tamilnadu and Pondicherry until 5 January, said the Met Department today.
For Chennai, according to officials, the sky condition is likely to be generally cloudy. Light to moderate rain is expected to occur in some areas. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30 and 24 degree Celcius, respectively.
Rains lashed parts of city including Ashok Nagar, Guindy, Madhya Kailash, Alandur, Porur and Valasaravakkam among others since Wednesday. Traffic came to standstill ate few places and water-logging on the roads were witnessed.
