The court has registered charges against the famous Malayalam actor Dileep in the case of abducting and molesting the actress.
On February 17, 2017, the actress, who is popular in Tamil and Malayalam languages, was allegedly abducted in a car near Cochin and sexually harassed.
Aluva police have filed a case against Dileep for instigating them. Dileep, who was jailed for allegedly conspiring to get out of jail, came out on bail.
The Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court dismissed his plea seeking his release from the case last Saturday. The Ernakulam Special Court judge has announced that the trial will begin on the 28th.
