There happens to be sudden surprises in the film industry and Thani Oruvan was one such movies. We still remember the first day first show being half-packed at multiplexes and single screens. By the end of show , we could see the online booking websites getting crashed and the theatres for next shows getting occupancies maximized. What’s more enthralling was how Thalapathy Vijay and Thala Ajith reacted towards the film.
Soon after the film’s release, actor Vijay instantly called up Mohan Raja and met him personally. The actor even showed up interest to work with him again and yes, the plans are still on. It’s almost like a rebirth for Mohan Raja.
Jayam Ravi in one of his interviews mentioned that Ajith Kumar after watching Thani Oruvan said, “Ivvavalu Stuff a vachikittu Unga Annan Engalayum Yemaathikittu Avarayum Yemaathikittu Irundhurukaaru (Despite gifted with such an unbelievably amazing potential, your elder brother has been chiseling himself and us so far) (This was said because the previous films of both Raja-Ravi were remakes alone).
Today, we are still in awe of this film and can’t wait to see ‘Thani Oruvan 2’ getting materialized. Hope, we see at least a teaser of Thani Oruvan 2, at least by 5 years of Thani Oruvan.
