Cash stolen from Tamilisai's husband at airport

Dr Soundararajan, husband of BJP State President Tamilisai has lodged a police complaint after Rs 50,000 went missing from his luggage at Chennai airport last month. According to sources, the incident allegedly took place on 11 January when he was the airport to catch a flight to Colombo. He was told at the security screening to take out a powerbank from his luggage as it is not allowed.

On reaching Colombo he realised that Rs 50,000 he kept in the bag was missing. It is suspected that the money went missing from within the airport premises. Following a police complaint, the police is inquiring the case by going through CCTV footage of the airport vicinity. Meanwhile, Tamilisai will on Sunday attend a public rally to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Tirupur.

This morning, she tweeted: "Proceeding to Coimbatore to oversee arrangements for Honb PM @narendramodi ji visit to Tiruppur tomorrow for election campaign and initiation of public welfare schemes."
