The Thondamuthur police have filed cases against DMK chief M K Stalin under three sections for his remarks against Municipal Administration Minister S P Velumani. Sources said the cases were filed against Stalin based on the speech during his campaign yesterday at Thondamuthur.
Seeking votes for the party's Pollachi candidate Shanmuga Sundaram, Stalin said,' Though Velumani is the Local Administration Minister he is not even able to conduct the civic polls. His only aim is corruption and is number one in it. He surpasses Palaniswami in this aspect. Velumani is the reason that the State is ranked number one in corruption. Cases will be filed against Velumani as soon as DMK comes to power.'
