Case against Indian 2 shooting: Kamal Haasan appears in person

The Central Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has summoned actor Kamal Haasan today in connection with the accident in the Indian 2 shooting site. Kamal Haasan has also agreed to appear in person today.

The upcoming Indian 2 film starring Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal was being shot at EVP Studios in Sembarambakkam. While shooting at night on the 19th, the crane accidentally collaped while checking light setting and was accidentally damaged.

The accident killed three persons including Assistant Director Krishna, Art Assistant Chandran and Production Assistant Madhu on the spot. Another 10 people were injured in the crash.

Deputy Commissioner Nagajothi began his investigation on February 23 after the case was transferred from the Nazareth  Pettai police station to the Madras Central Crime Division.

Investigators have investigated six people, including its executives and crane operator Rajan, who rented the crane used in the factory and the factory used to set up the Indian 2 shooting so far.
According to their affidavit, the Central Criminal Police has sent summon to the film's director Shankar. Accordingly, Director Shankar was present on the 27th of February, in front of Nagajothi, and various questions were asked of him.

Subsequently, the Central Criminal Police have decided to investigate Kamal Haasan, the protagonist of the Indian 2 film, and have already been summoned to appear before the Central Criminal Investigation Officer today. Actor Kamal Haasan is in person today to accept the summons.
