Cabinet berths for AIADMK soon: Senior BJP leader

At a time when there were allegations in political arena that Tamil Nadu ignored in the new Union Cabinet, a senior BJP leader has said the AIADMK will soon be given Cabinet berths. Former Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader L Ganesan, while speaking to reporters, said, 'AIADMK will find place in Union Cabinet'.

State Minister Kadambur Rajusaid that both Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and OPS have spoken to Modi and soon AIADMK will get its berth in the Cabinet. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K S Alagiri has said the BJP-led Central government’s decision not to give any representation to Tamil Nadu in the Union Cabinet was made with an ulterior motive as the State had voted against the NDA.

In a statement, Alagiri said though the AIADMK won only one seat in the Lok Sabha, they had 13 MPs in the Rajya Sabha.
