MTC drivers took a flash strike in city this monring after only 60 per cent of the MTC staff were paid their salary for this month. Over 2000 buses were off the road and commuters were completely stranded. Office-goers were left cluless and were rushing to take taxis and share autos. The autowallahs fleeced the commuters in large numbers.
Meanwhile the state government clarified that since Sunday was bank holiday we could not cerdit salaryu for everyone. The salary will be credited by evening, it added.Meanwhile normalcy was slowly resorted and buses started to operate as usual from 11 am.
