The Masi Brahmotsava Krithika festival at the Thiruttani Subramanya Sami Temple commenced on 28th with the flag hoisting ceremony. Yesterday, the third day of the festival, millions of devotees came to see Lord Muruga standing in a long line of various visionary paths set up on the hilltop.
A special pooja was performed in the early hours of this morning to mark the occasion.
Following this, special ritual poojas were performed in the main temple including the Utsavar Shanmugar. The main event of the festival was held at the temple chariot road, with in the temple chariot with auspicious Instruments, where the lord Valli and the devyayanam was sitting close to Lord Muruga.
The crowds of pilgrims at the ceremony were jammed. There was also a traffic congestion on the temple road leading to vehicles. From the hill temple to the Arakkonam road in Thiruttani, the vehicles were standing on either side, slowly creeping.
This was accompanied by traffic police and temple employees deploying vehicles and pilgrims to the temple.
It took 4 hours for devotees from Tamil Nadu and various states to enter the temple and witness the lord.
Thousands of pilgrims have been entertained with various events in various places during the Masi Brahmotsava Kriti Festival.
