Badminton champ Saina Nehwal joined the ruling BJP today and is expected to campaign for the party in the upcoming to the Delhi election.
Saina, who hails from Haryana, is one of the most famous athletes in India.The badminton player has won more than 24 international titles. She won a bronze at the London Olympics. She was the world's number two in 2009 and the number one in 2015.
Saina, who has been tweeting from every now and then to compliment Prime Minister Modi, has also posted information on the BJP on the Internet. Subsequently, Saina joined the party in the presence of BJP executives at the BJP office in Delhi.
