While Maniratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, which is reportedly told to be featuring Jayam Ravi as one among the lead roles will have the first collaboration with AR Rahman, it looks like the duo will be working much prior to it. It is learnt through the close sources that AR Rahman has been approached to compose music for Jayam Ravi’s upcoming film ‘Jana Gana Mana’. Directed by Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai fame, the film has Taapsee playing the female lead role and KGF villain appearing as baddie. While the shooting of this film is happening on full swing across the backdrops of Azerbaijan, it is now said that ARR will be composing music. However, there hasn’t been any official confirmation on this till now.
