Amid opposition from Hindus, Stalin says DMK is not against Hinduism

With outrage among voters against the DMK getting increased due to the party's alleged anti-Hindu stand, DMK president MK Stalin has said that his party was not against any religion or caste. Alleging that BJP has been spreading false propaganda that DMK is against Hindus, Stalin said BJP and Modi were irked since he had proposed Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s name for prime ministerial candidate.

“Due to this very reason, BJP has been spreading false propaganda against DMK that we are against Hindus," he said. Stalin said the DMK was not against any religion or caste and its main role was to protect social harmony. "If the party is anti-Hindu, then who exists in DMK? Can they answer?" Stalin asked.
