Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) will seek the support of the DMK in the Assembly to overthrow the AIADMK government, the party’s propaganda secretary, Thanga Tamilselvan, has said. "We are going to win in 22 (by-poll seats). Only if DMK and us join together, we can send this regime home. If we send them home, then there will be elections. AMMK will win a majority in the elections and we will give Amma's governance," he said.
"Haven't we been saying all along there's secret relationship between the two parties, that the AMMK is just the 'B' team of the DMK?" was the refrain in the AIADMK camp, with Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami declaring at his poll campaign that the 'cat is out of the bag now'. AIADMK senior KP Munusamy said that Tamilselvan's statement has proved the suspicion that always existed. Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar that the AMMK was the ‘B’ team of the DMK.
