Fisheries Minister Jayakumar met with reporters in Chepauk, Chennai today. The journalists questioned him about actor Rajinikanth talk about Periyar at the Thuglak magazine’s 50th anniversary event.
He replied, "Actor Rajinikanth should have avoided criticism of Periyar at the Thuglak Festival.The actor Rajinikanth, who starred in '16 vayatiṉile' movie, say a dialogue that 'pattavaccittiye paraṭṭa' meaning spicing up conversation, same way with his criticism Rajini has added spice to the speech.
He also said that the there is no use of taking about the old issues rather it will be better if we discuss something useful for the future development.
