Gravity defying stunts are order of Tamil cinema. Many occasions we have seen heroes flying on top, kicking baddies in air and uttering punchlines. In many cases, they just do what is the latest in Hollywood. Action scenes inspired by Hollywood are a big hit in Tamil cinema too. Vijayakanth, Arjun and Sarathkumar among others made a name for themselves in stunts.
This Action Thursday, lets take a look at Maari 2 climax fight. Dhanush, who his fans call as Bruce Lee of Tamil cinema, did a scene to entertain and enthuse them. In a typical Enter the Dragon Bruce Lee style, he flexes his muscles and fights. This Bruce Lee style fight amidst glasses won him applause. This was indeed the movie's highlight. An action comedy, it was directed by Balaji Mohan. It is a sequel to his 2015 film Maari.
Dhanush, besides producing the film under his company Wunderbar Films, also stars as the title character, reprising his role from the first film. Krishna Kulasekaran, Tovino Thomas, Sai Pallavi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Vidya Pradeep play other important roles, among others. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja with cinematography by Om Prakash and editing by Prasanna GK. The film released on 21 December, 2018. Dhanush had already won a name for stunt scenes and Maari 2 was one more feather in his cap.
