A major development breakthrough for Tirupati

Andhra Pradesh government gave a formal approval to the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) to start 4 major smart city development project. 

Tirupati was selected as smart city along with Visakhapatnam and kakinada bt govt before 4yrs. With regard to this District Collector PS Pradyumna and commissioner V Vijaya Rama Raju is making a effort to implement the mega project with the on going project of 6-km elevated corridor.

As many as 55 projects, including the important Garuda Varadhi elevated smart corridor project, were scheduled to be grounded under the smart city concept with a total outlay of approximately Rs 1,800 crore.

The projects include smart streets, elevated corridor, retrofitting of parks and open spaces, waste water treatment plant, an integrated command control centre, a multi-level car parking, development of Vinayaka Sagar water body etc. It was observed that works for the construction of pillars for the elevated corridor is in full swing on the stretch from market yard to Ramanuja circle.  “The elevated corridor would be built with advanced engineering facilities like ‘clover leaf underpass’ and also ‘two-level corridor’ and a single arm approach road at important junctions in the city.
