Here is the 5 Tamil movies released on OTT platforms in 2020. They had raised the expectation levels, but gradually failed to impress us.
Nishabdham
In spite of having a good star-cast, the film failed to gain our attention. A very disappointing tale of time-worn plot. Even actors like Madhavan and Anushka Shetty couldn’t save it. 
Penguin
With Keerthy Suresh winning the National awards, Penguin had stream of decorous anticipations, but eventually failed with its pathetic storyline and narration. 
Ponmagal Vandhaal
It’s yet another disappointing show. Maybe, the makers gained some attention by handling a sensitive plot, but when it comes to presentation, the movie is a wholesome disappointment. Jyotika’s performance is okay though.
Naanga Rombha Busy
The original version was a major success (Kannada movie – Mayabazaar 2016), but the Tamil remake didn’t have the essence. Maybe, it was a success as it was exclusively made for OTT platform. 
Lock Up
Starring Vaibhav and Venkat Prabhu in lead roles, the film managed to keep the thrills on right dose, but still there was something missing.
