3. Kandukondein Kandukondein – So much of sweetness was found in his character, where any woman would yearn for such a soulmate. Starring Ajith Kumar, Aishwarya Rai and Tabu alongside him in lead roles, the film owns a huge popularity even now. 

4. Anandam – What’s so unique about Mammootty is that he becomes so real to the roles that he plays. Anandam made us receive him like our own brother in home. 

5. Peranbu – This one became critically acclaimed for his unparalleled performance and it’s something more off a precious pearl. 

6. Mounam Sammadham – This marked his debut in Tamil cinema, where the twists and thrills kept us engaged from beginning till end. On the other hand, the songs are still performed by singers even outside Tamil territories. 

7. Thalapathy – We think, the film needs no words to describe. A completely unconventional role and to see Mammootty alongside Rajinikanth was just beyond our imaginations. 

8. Kilipetchu Ketkava – A comedy caper that starts with fun and amusement, but the twist that Fazil gives by the end was something unexpected and heart-wrenching. The performance of Mammootty is completely amazing here in this film.

9. Ethirum Pudhirum – What was supposed to be a hit movie turned out to be a bizarre, where the movie was leaked on piracy and local Cable TVs. Unfortunately, the film didn’t do well commercially, but holds a special respect for the entire team for bringing up a promising movie. 

10. Marumalarchi – A film that had complex storyline and premise, but was stunningly crafted and what became a major plus was Mammootty’s performance.
