Modi to inaugurate Chennai Metro stretch tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be inaugurating the 9.5 km undergoing Chennai Metro stretch between AG-DMS and Washermenpet tomorrow. Official sources said Mr Modi would inaugurate the stretch  through video-conferencing from Tiruppur at 1515 hrs, where he would launch various projects and also address an election meeting, the second after the one on January 27 at Madurai, where he kicked off the BJP's campaign for the ensuing Lok  Sabha polls. While Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy will be jointly inaugurating the final stretch of the Phase-1 project with Mr Modi from Tirupur, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Housing And Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri and State Industries Minister M C Sampath will be present at the AG-DMS station.
